Anonymous: I'm not trying to be rude when I ask this but why don't you wait until you're married to get pregnant?
I could have been married yesterday, a month ago, or even a year ago, seeing as we are not having a wedding, but plan to “elope”. However, I am fully, 110% covered under my parents insurance until I am 26 years old(so is my fiance). If we get married, we lose that coverage completely.
Both me and my fiance don’t see the sense in getting married just because we want to have a baby. It is an old concept, and I would rather stay engaged than shell out 10-20 thousand dollars during my pregnancy just to conform to societies ideals.
And like my dad says, “I’ve paid for it all these years, might as well use it!!”

I am almost 23, and no, I am not married. I am, however, engaged.
